It’s #MeekSeason. The Dreams and Nightmares rapper kicked off BET Awards weekend with Tidal – a High Fidelity Music Streaming service – hosting a Pre-Album Release Private Pool Party, held at the luxury boutique Mondrian Hotel in theheart of West Hollywood. Miss Diddy LA covered the step and repeat for Complex, interviewing a range of celebrity attendees like Elle Garner, Yung Berg, DJ Mustard, Fabolous, Karen Civil, Justine Skye to LA’s most influential tastemakers.

D’USSÉ models strutted throughout the pool deck wearing sexy but daring swimwear. Inviting socialites to take a dip in the beautifully designed hotel pool and sip on signature cocktails. With the release of his new track, “All Eyes On You” featuring his leading lady Nicki Minaj & Chris Brown, excitement and anticipation filled the pool deck. Surprisingly Meek arrived with no Nicki – I’m going to assume it was because she had a performance the same evening. The DJ had everyone vibing to snippets of  Meek Mill new tracks. Expect to hear dope beats, seamless crazy word flow, and of course hot features. #DWMTM will drop this month in June  {allegedly}.

Tidal - PhotogidThe event was produced by The Vanity Group, a luxury lifestyle management company, based out of NYC. Karleen Roy, Founder & Managing Director, and her staff executed a flawless event. The venue was in a prime location, adding a touch of invincibility and glamour. I look forward to attending future events by Karleen Roy.

Single Hearts Dinner

SBFP – “Single Hearts Dinner” With the spark of “self-awareness” and “self-empowerment movements,” I’ve witness two millennial’s create and build a captivating medium to motivate, inspire and encourage other African-American women. Saturday, February 7th marked the one year anniversary for SBFP-Single Black Female Project. To celebrate their one year anniversary creators, Monique Mitchell {@Monificent11} and Lindsey E. Johnson {@whoislindseyE } hosted a Singles Hearts Dinner at Sweet Auburn Seafood that included guest speaker Shakyna Bolden-Entrepreneur + Lifestyle Expert. Due to my tardiness I missed the meet and greet, which I’m sure took place just before everyone took their seats for dinner. However, I arrived just in time to enjoy a sophisticated and tasteful meal. The eloquent prefix dinner menu reasonable priced at $25 included: Spinach Salad, Roasted Chicken/Grilled Salmon, Steamed Broccoli, White Rice and Lobster Mashed Potatoes. The food was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! For an additional cost specialty cocktails were available. Through the dinner the ladies open the floor for dialogue touching on a few current topics such as the Dark Girls documentary that aired on the OWN network last month to black women in reality TV and issues we as young women can attack to spark a positive change for our youth. Many hands begin to raise in the room, as one suggested we spark the interest of STEEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and another touched on the emphasis of the value of a dollar (build your wealth now so you can have it later), then to the need to stop over sexualizing ourselves and most importantly paying it forward, we should inspire others. It ended with guest speaker Shakyna Bolden taken us through her journey of moving to NYC, to landing her dream job at Essence Magazine to birthing her passion & purpose, Solcreamery. Miss Bolden provided the group with two parables, the Sower who scatters seed and the story of how Eagles fly. Both intriguing moral teachings. I indeed picked up a few nuggets of wisdom from listening to her journey! Here are my Singles Heart Dinner takeaways:
Start speaking Life
Start managing your time.. take the leap..cut out out Happy Hour.
Start living intentional
Start self-nourishment. Overall it was a pleasant putting! Love to see my sisters making great and explosive moves To all my single hearts, we got this! Continue to Ask, Believe & Receive! Now be Optimistic & Smileimage
